I think being smart makes you a better person because you get better jobs because you might have a GREAT I.Q score or you just seem like a bright person. Being smart also makes you a better person because you can give people a great advice. That means you can help a person in need.
I doubt that being smart makes you a better person you can be as dumb as everything but still have a good and nice heart like if someone asks you for advice you may give good advice even though you are the dumbest person alive.
